– having regard to the Council Resolution of 1 March 2002 on the protection of consumers, in particular young people, through the labelling of certain video games and computer games according to age group , – having regard to the Commission communication of 11 May 2022 entitled ‘A Digital Decade for children and youth: the new European strategy for a better internet for kids (BIK+)’ ( COM(2022)0212), – having regard to the Commission communication of 24 March 2021 on the EU strategy on the rights of the child ( COM(2021)0142), – having regard to the Commission communication of 19 February 2020 on shaping Europe’s digital future ( COM(2020)0067), – having regard to the Commission communication of 22 April 2008 on the protection of consumers, in particular minors, in respect of the use of video games ( COM(2008)0207), – having regard to the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child of 20 November 1989, and General comment No 25 (2021) of the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child on children’s rights in relation to the digital environment,
